The subjunctive mood in Spanish is used to express how someone is feeling about a certain action that is taking place, instead of referring to the action itself. When we use the indicative, we are certain about the information being expressed.
Example: María visita a su abuelo todos los domingos.
If we are not certain about this situation, we can say:
Dudo que María visite a su abuelo todos los domingos.
I doubt that María visits her grandpa every Sunday.
We are not certain about this situation, so we use the verb “dudar” to express uncertainty and the next verb is conjugated in the present subjunctive 'visite'.

We use the subjunctive to express doubt, subjectivity, uncertainty, possibility, and generally we introduce this idea with a clause that expresses the feeling of uncertainty or subjectivity, such as the following:
Complete the blanks conjugating the verbs in brackets in the present subjunctive.
Llenar los espacios conjugando los verbos entre paréntesis en presente de subjuntivo.
Note: Try to use the correct written accents if you can e.g.: á, é, í, ó, ú, ñ, ü.
If you don't know the correct answer, type '?' to reveal it.
1. No creo que usted (obtener)
grandes resultados.
2. No nos sorprende que tú no (pagar)
la cuenta.
3. ¿No considera necesario usted que nosotros (tener)
que venir mañana?
4. Ellas tienen miedo que nosotros no (volver)
