Q. How long will it take me to learn Spanish?

A. It depends on your personal abilities and the time devoted to learning Spanish. The more classes you take, and the more exposure to the language you get outside the class, the sooner you will learn the language. Think of it much like going to the gym. The more effort you put in, the faster the results.

No one can accurately tell you how long it will take you to learn another language. Don't be fooled by unrealistic claims of "Learning a language in 2 weeks", there is no shortcut to language learning, it takes time and effort. You can nevertheless learn something new every day.

Q. Do you supply the learning material?

A. Yes, we do. We offer many resources online from books, other websites, and our own library of materials, for both children and adults.In addition, we have partnered with Ouino Spanish to use their unique app in our lessons. Our classes are tailored and many of the materials used in class are developed by the teachers to suit the special needs of each student. We provide everything at no extra cost.

Q. How do I start?

A. In order to start click on this link and book your 30 minutes' trial class with any of our teachers. No credit card is required at this point and there is no obligation to purchase.

Q. Do I need to open an account for each of my children?

A. No. You can just open one account either in your name or one of the children's names. Then if they are taking classes separately you can just put a note in the lesson notes to let the teacher know who is taking the class.

Q. How can I book classes?

A. To book a class you need to log in to TimelyBooking, our online calendar, and book the class directly through the system, at the times that suit you most.

Q. Can I use my own materials?

A. Yes. We have an extensive library of multi-media and other materials to use for the classes, but if you prefer to work with a specific text then we can figure out how to share this with your teacher.

Q. Do I need to inform the teacher about the class?

A. No, the teacher will receive a notification after you book a class and she/he will call you at the exact time of the class using our professional learning platform - Zoom. We can also use Skype as a backup.

Q. Will the teacher add me on Skype or do I have to add her/him?

A. Our professional learning platform is Zoom. The teacher will send an email to you as a student with a link to log in to the class. For the first time you will download and install the app (which only takes a minute or two) and then you will be able to connect easily with the tutor.

Q. Do I always have to take classes with the same teacher?

A. No, you can take classes with all the teachers at the same time. In order to make it more productive and progressive, each teacher keeps a record of your progress and a description of each class in order for the next teacher to know what the previous class has been about and avoid repetition. So it is up to you to decide whether to stick with the same teacher or to change at any time.

Q. How can I be informed about my progress?

A. You can always request a description of your progress from your teacher.

Q. Is there anything I can do after the class to keep practicing?

A. Yes, after the class the teacher will send you homework to complete before the next class if you request. Also, you can visit our website where we have plenty of grammar tips, exercises, videos and vocabulary lists to work with.

Q. Will I receive any certification?

A. Yes, we can provide certificates based on what you have learned and the number of hours that you have studied.

Q. Are classes one-to-one or in groups?

A. Our classes are one-to-one but you can always take the class with a friend. Many children take lessons with their siblings, or some couples also learn together. At no extra cost.

Q. What happens if I forget about a class?

A. If you forget about the class the teacher will call to your contact phone number to see why you are not online. If you are free at that time, you can take the lesson. If you aren't, you will lose that credit as the teacher is paid for that class.

Q. How can I cancel my lessons?

A. You can cancel your classes 24 hours in advance. After that time, you will be charged for the class. To cancel a lesson, go to TimelyBooking > View Bookings and click on the red letters "Cancel booking". After doing that you will be given your credit back automatically.

Q. How can I learn with a native speaker if I do not know any Spanish?

A. All our teachers speak English up to an intermediate/advanced level. They will guide you through the process at the beginning using English as a bridge. We recommend using English as little as possible in the classroom to learn Spanish faster.

Q. Are classes for all kinds of people or mainly young people?

A. Our classes are for all ages and nationalities. We are currently teaching children, teenagers, university students, professionals, retired people, etc. and from many different countries such as USA, Canada, Brazil, England, Sweden, Norway, China, Japan, and so on.

Q. Do I need to learn any special computer tools or programs?

A. No, the only thing you need to get started is an email address to receive notifications. You can quickly install the learning platform for the first class.

Q. Are classes mainly based on grammar?

A. No, our classes focus on communication skills in Spanish, so they cover different areas such as grammar, vocabulary, culture, social interaction, and we foster the development of the four skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking.

Q. How can I pay for my classes?

A. You can pay by PayPal by your account funds or by credit or debit card. We can offer additional methods if for any reason Paypal is not an option.

Q. Are my payment details safe?

A. Yes, we use third-party leading payment processors that process your payment. We do not receive any information from them, we only have your contact details.

Q. What happens if my teacher misses my class?

A. Teachers always notify us if they need to cancel a class due to some last minute problem or if they are sick, so we can inform our students and find a substitute teacher. However, it could happen that for some unknown reason such as a power cut or internet outage the teacher does not attend the class. If that happens, contact us immediately. You will be given your credit back and the teacher will reschedule the class immediately. We can even reschedule it at the moment of the no-show if we have a tutor available at that time.
